The Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) is a collaborate effort of the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Department of Health, The Department of Social Health Services, Division of Behavioral and Health and Recovery, Family Policy Council, Department of Commerce, and the Liquor Control Board

The Healthy Youth Survey provides important survey results about the health of adolescents in Washington. County prevention coordinators, community mobilization coalitions, community public health and safety networks, and others use this information to guide policy and programs that service youth.

The HYS includes questions regarding alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; community, school, and family risk and protective factors; safety and violence; diet and nutrition; health, health care, and exercise.
