School counselors address concerns such as depression, anxiety, school adjustment and attendance problems, self-esteem issues, bullying, suicide prevention, grief, relationship difficulties, gender and sexuality, behavior challenges and other issues.
They offer individual, group and family counseling, mediation, crisis intervention, parent support groups and classes as well as staff consultation.
Island County Human Services, offers a variety of resources and services for people in the community who are in need of housing assistance, early childhood parent support, and mental health services. They also offer services for people with developmental disabilities, and veterans.
Compass Health provides, mental health counseling for adults and children. Participants need to be on Medicaid in order to receive services.

Citizens Against Domestic Violence & Abuse (CADA)
CADA is Island County’s domestic violence and sexual assault agency. They provide free, confidential assistance for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, rape, child sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Services include crisis intervention, advocacy- based counseling, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, emergency shelter, support groups, parenting classes and community education and prevention.
They service teens 13 and up without parental consent.

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious food, and help accessing health care are provided to low-income women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC.

People seeking services must fill out a one- page application form, provide picture ID for anyone 18 or older in the household and show current proof of physical address.
